Family Reunion Infosheet

 Dear GTN,

I recently threw a big birthday bash for a very good friend of mine. It was to be a series of 3 events over 2 days-a party at a nightclub, brunch @ a nice restaurant and a BBQ hosted by 3rd party. Everything went well except the BBQ. That didn’t even happen because the host cancelled at the last minute. After WEEKS of planning and invitations and out of town guests arriving-including the Birthday Girl-he cancels on us. But check this out…

He didn’t call to cancel. He send a text message. A GROUP text message:

“Sorry ya’ll.somethings come up & i cant do it today.pls 4give me.”

This was mere HOURS before we were to arrive at his house.

Needless to say I was livid, not to mention embarrassed. I had my name ALL over this event for my friend. I’d made sure he got all the help and support he needed on his end. He said “I got it, don’t worry”. Then he flakes out majorly at the upteenth hour, and in the tackiest and most impersonal way imagineable. SUCKA!!

I understand that things come up. I’m not even mad about that. But to just not call? And this was several days ago and we still haven’t heard from him. Not another text, an email and definitely not a phone call. NOTHING.

Am I wrong for a.) totally disconnecting from this triflin’ no-class having negro and b.) contemplating putting him on FULL BLAST in one of my blogs???

 Dear Pissy Petite Party Planner,

 What you SHOULD have done was showed up and had the B-B-Q at his house anyway. Just set up the grill, the Jarts and the boom box and had your self a kick ass shin-dig then left without cleaning up the mess.

 If he was home, I doubt he would have had the balls to throw everyone out and if he wasn’t, the only set back would have been having to go down the street to the gas station to pee if you couldn’t find a friendly obliging neighbor.

 BLAST AWAY! Nothing pisses me off more than someone who SAYS they have your back then fails to mention they have a knife waiting to slide into it.

 And if you find out there was something SERIOUS going on (like he went into the hospital for major surgery) you can always send him a stripper gram apology.
